3. What everyone has "missed" about the clothing issue
Edited on Sat Nov-08-08 08:49 PM by SoCalDem
1) She was NOT prepared to dress for a national whirlwind media campaign.

2) Her runningmate, and the one who INVITED her to the "big party", had to KNOW she and her family dressed "Alaska-casual".

3) HIS WIFE IS A FREAKING MULTI-MULTI-MILLIONAIRESS...

This whole flap exemplifies why he lost and deserved to lose..

Would it have KILLED Ms Cindy to appeal to "her favorite store", and swear them to secrecy, as she took the family to a "special shopping" session...with HER there to oversee and help them choose some appropriate clothing??

That would not have raised ANY eyebrows, and could have even been USED as a positive talking point...about just how down-to-earth these "folks" are... and how generous Ms Cindy was...

Until the GOP had to pony up the cash to staffers, for reimbursement, no one gave a rat's ass about her clothes, and most people don't know a Valentino from a Valentine:)
