18. It still would have been nice if they had tried.
That way, it would at least been on the record that they thought about it. It is one thing to lose to a filibuster. It is another to cower from the threat. It would be nice to have george's name on the veto of a bill assuring that each vote counts.

And true, the DOJ could tackle the problem, but first Obama has to get in. In my more dystopian nightmares I see stolen precincts in multiple states, exit polls thwarted, the current DOJ rubber stamping the rigged ballots. Protests on Wednesday and Thursday, leading to riots by Thursday night. Martial law on Friday. Not much fun in those dark parts of my head.
