3. They're All Screwed Up
Usually you would have your top ticket never campaigning together at this part of the campaign. You need to cover as many states as possible. You're seeing that with Senators Obama and Biden...but then we're talking about a ticket that compliments one another and can operate efficiently on their own. Gramps has to keep a tight leash on Sarah Barracuda...he's both an asset and liability at this stage...she pulls in the crowds, but she can't be trusted on her own. He's had to devote as much time to keeping her away from the media as he has in going after Obama.

Right now, a lot of the game is perception. Gramps wants the impression that Pennsylvania and Ohio are still in play...he needs this to keep his own campaign from imploding and the money coming in. But I suspect this is about to change. The shift in Senator Obama's favor is starting to take a toll on the repugnicans. The election is now being fought on "red" turf and as more and more of these states come into play, the more stretched Gramps resources become. When you start seeing them campaign in Indiana, Missouri, North Carolina and other red states, you know the end game is in play.
