and why should he care what concept of "God" Hagee and Palin share, since his belief in his concept trumps any belief any other may hold.

No, all Lieberman cares for is Lieberman and he will support anyone and anything he believes serves Lieberman's interests. At present, he's angling for a position within a McCain administration, as he knows the Dems will shred him as soon after the election as their majority is sworn in.

And when he loses his chairmanship his Senate power is diminished, and with his loss there the effectiveness of his wife as a lobbyist for pharmaceutical and healthcare interests is diminished too.

That's why he whores himself out for McCain and cares nothing for his honor, his integrity, or his constituents. It's all about Lieberman and always has been.
