not in the future. He stayed out in '04 and he is apparently staying out in '08--perhaps the most pivotal election we have had in years. He keeps saying he hasn't ruled out a "future run" and that such a run would be for president. I don't know about you but for me a Gore run in 2012 or 2016 wouldn't do it for me. We needed him now--not in some future hypothetical election. We had eight disastrous years of Bush policies and needed somebody like him to clean up the mess especially with regards to Iraq and begin doing something constructive on global warming and a host of other issues. I respect the fact that he is pursuing his global warming issue as a private citizen, but I cannot fathom why he would pass up running this year when not only the United States, but the world, needs a statesman of his calibar and yet say that he hasn't ruled out a future run. For one thing if the Democrats win this time he is out of it at least until 2016 and by then there will be newer blood and Gore will be seen as a product of the past. I think his time was now--if he was to ever run for president again. I wish him luck with his work on Global Warming as a private citizen and congratulate him on his well-deserved Nobel Peace Prize.
