NEW HANOVER COUNTY -- The topic of global warming can be both an interesting and controversial topic.
In New Hanover County, it's receiving less than rave reviews from some parents.
Talk show host Curtis Wright received a phone call from an upset parent, wondering who gave approval to show the film at Murray Middle School.

"His concern was that they said that there was no other side of the issue," said Wright.

The school district says it was introduced as part of the science curriculum.

-----
New Hanover county is a coastal community to the extent that the Cape Fear River
is tidal and the state port is in Wilmington. The people in this county will be
severely effected if the waters rise a few feet due to global warming. Do you think
that the parent that said that there was no opposing view is one of the same ones that
thinks creationism and religion need to be intertwined with public education?

I can recall when I was in school, if something that was considered to be controversial
was to be shown, for the students to watch it, they would have to have a signed permission
slip from their parents. This way, those that wanted to see it and were given permission
to see it, could. Those who didn't, or whose parents did not want them to see it, did not
have to see it. Sounds like a pretty simple solution to me. Why did they quit doing things
with a little common sense?

Not attempting to bash Christians here, just using it for an example.
His concern over no other side to the issue, well all I have to say to that is,
if he is a Christian, has he ever had Satanism taught to him so he would know the
other side of the story? I bet you a dollar to a donut the person who complained about
"An Inconvenient Truth" has never seen it.
