AN OPEN LETTER TO MY LOCAL REP...
Advertisements [?]
Just thought I would share and open letter written to my local
Rep. District 6 Florida. (Cliffy Sterns)

I wrote it to the local paper that covers 4-5 large counties,
but just in case I wrote to him as well. (**no fly list here I
come**)

Ok, first I will post a part of his letter to me that really
pissed me off THEN my letter: (putting on flame retarded suit
now, just in case)

Sterns letter abridged:

I believe we took the proper step in liberating Iraq.
However, we must
continue our work to ensure that the Iraqi citizens have a
voice in their
new government and are properly represented. The Iraqi people
must have a
stable government so they can continue to enjoy the new found
freedom to
speak their minds and pursue their goals without fear of
murder or torture.
It is a difficult task; however, the troops I have spoken with
believe it to
be a noble one. While I understand feelings of urgency and
impatience, to
put this in perspective, other democracies have similarly
taken years to
form, such as our own United States.

MY letter unabridged:

Mr Sterns, I am constantly amazed at your lazy attitude
regarding our communication on important issues for our
district and our country.

Your letter to me regarding Iraq - that we are
"liberating" them is an out right lie and you know
this, it is also an out dated talking point. We didn't go into
Iraq to 'liberate', it was WMDS and it was a LIE.

However, since we didn't find any WMDS you call it
'liberating' while I call it a Quagmire!

Mr. Sterns, please work for your district, think for your self
and stop following President Bush's every word on every issue.

Your Republican base is changing course, yet you continue to
vote against the most important issues! When President Bush
vetoed health care for millions of children, you, Rep. Sterns
had a choice: stand with President Bush or stand up for our
kids back home. You showed your district where your loyalties
are and it is not with your district.

You chose Bush, and was one of just a few votes blocking
Congress from overriding Bush's veto. As a result, millions of
kids and their families could suffer.
Please Mr. Sterns work for your district or get out of office!
