2. Most first-time authors have to go through a lot of rejections
Not to mention a lot of polishing. I know several authors and, to a person, they've worked hard to get where they are. And they're working harder to make it in the "big time" - not just in their little niche. This is just another example of someone getting things handed to them because their last name is Bush. Like father, like daughter.
