about the Iraq war - a friend loaned it to me (Book on CD, i was on the road). It was pretty good and pretty interesting, but it painted the picture of a decent honorable man who will do what his superiors tell him to, and who has enough self confidence (or arrogance) to believe that he and his troops can do whatever mission they are assigned to.

That sort of attitude seems tailor made for the Bush administration to exploit.
