Time to stop the bickering and unite to FIGHT, to make the reconciliation bill better.

Yes, the Senate legislation is very bad (I could never vote for it myself).

And the House bill is not much better.

But as someone who has argued "kill the bill," I'd like to suggest, in the spirit of Dr. Dean, that the last chapter has yet to be written: Reconciliation.

I will admit that I've given up on Obama and the administration. I presume from their words and actions that they have tossed in the towel on the public option and on any real effort to improve the final bill.

But there are progressives in the House, including 60 who have pledged not to vote for a bill without a public option, who might, just might be persuaded to take up the cause in 11th hour.

Instead of sniping at each other, I suggest we keep our eyes on what unites us: getting this bad legislation changed into something better, if we can.

Write your Senators and Congresspersons.

Fight to the last breath.

And stop the bickering, at least for right now.
