Plenty of literally wasteful uses of electricity all in that room. Yes, he was vying for a different reaction, but it didn't work.

The last I read, I think Gore did move to somewhere a bit more eco-friendly, but being hot-to-trot on ecological concerns and having such a hoggy mansion that even Snopes.com would smack him silly by comparing him to BUSH of all people - I recall bush left his ranch too, so a new comparison may as well be made, for what it's worth.)

Bono is another double-standard-on-legs when it comes to green talk.

Maybe not phonies, but enough to engender a lot of valid criticism.

And people wonder why the issue isn't taken seriously. Like Newt and "family values", you cannot have your spokesman preaching one thing while engaging in the exact opposite. That is a universal truism.
