textbooks covering media, spin, manipulation

From another list I am on:

I am preparing to teach a course on "media: accuracy and reliability"
I would like to assign at least 4-5 textbooks.
Lest I miss a good book, before finalizing my list, I would like to ask my
radio friends for suggestions.
If you know of any textbooks that you think is a must read on the subject of
media, spin, manipulation, (how they are used, how to spot them, who does
it, why they do it, etc.) please let me know.

Thanks good DUers I know you all can probably help.
