On ABC, the reporter, I believe Jonathan Karl, asked Cheney if Pelosi and others in the Democratic Party advocated a policy which is one of defeat in Iraq (Paraphrase). Cheney's response: "Yes."

Democrats would have answered the equivalent question equivocally. That's why in the 2000 debate with Gore and Bush, when Gore was asked if Bush was qualified to be President, Gore, rather than saying, "No", again, equivocated.

Losing mentality if you ask me. He should have said Yes, and I'll tell you why. There were many reasons he could have enumerated, any one of which would have resonated with sufficiently ambivalient people to consider NOT voting for Bush. Instead, he gave credence to this specimen, this puppet, and guess what. It led to this supremely unqualified but Supremely voted for (5-4) failure of a President.
