that day due to bad weather, but Otis knew he was right on the brink of big crossover success and didn't want to miss an important college gig, and decided to make the flight to Madison in spite of the weather. There's a beautiful tribute song to Otis by his protege Arthur Conley (the guy that did "Sweet Soul Music") called "Otis Sleep On". If any of you younger DUers don't know much about Otis beyond "Dock of the Bay", check out the movie " Monterey Pop" and watch Otis blow the crowd away.
