23. Colbert's statement
I was so glad to hear him have a chance to say something like that - obviously from his real heart. Did anyone see the very beginning of the hearing? I tuned in just as it began, and they hadn't started any testimony yet, but John Conyers was saying something about wanting Colbert to leave the room, and just submit his testimony by paper.???? What was that all about???? I didn't hear the first of it, so don't know how started.

Colbert, in his character, was terrific, and I loved watching the faces of the Repubs as he spoke. They couldn't decide whether to be amused, or be insulted. The audience was apparently entertained, and laughed a lot!
