9. It didn't seem gloomy to me.
Hearing that preacher mention all of the injustices that have been perpetrated or ignored by the outgoing administration didn't make me feel sad. It reminded me that maybe this new leader can put a stop to some of these injustices and that is something to be happy about, IMO.

Sure, it is probably unreasonable to expect so much but we chose to send this man to Washington to use his influence and assert himself on behalf of not only Americans and our own domestic issues, but also people outside the US who have been suffering and dying by the thousands. His job is too important take even one single day off from reminding President Obama how much they need his help and that we expect nothing less than his best effort.

I'm not a religious person but to hear a prayer that acknowledged so many of the problems in this world and that we have a President who intends to deal with them was really quite uplifting for me.
