Canada has signed a
"Arrangement for the Transfer of Detainees Between the Canadian Forces and the Ministry of Defence of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan"

It specifies that the Third Geneva Convention will always apply to prisoners in the possession of Canada or Afghanistan (if transfered to them by Canada).

IT DOES NOT COVER THE TRANSFER OR TREATMENT PRISONERS TO A THIRD NATION!!!

WHAT HAPPENS IF A DETAINEE IS TRANSFERED TO THE USA?? NO GUARANTEE OR ONE-OFF AGREEMENTS?

Torture doesn't work. People will say whatever is necessary to make it stop, and the end result is a ruined reputation and more enemies.

If Canada transfers detainees to the USA who are subsequently tortured we will suffer the same ruined reputation you have. Please help us avoid that.
