was COMPLETELY lost on me! Here, Ishoutandscream2, knock some sense into my head with a frying pan! :spank: NOW I GET IT!!! So if they heard someone from Chile or Argentina (or even Brazil ;-) ) that person would simply be assumed to speak and be "Mexican."
Then there's the issue that not all Mexicans speak Spanish...
I've been living abroad for a l-o-n-g time. The dialects here ARE referred to by region without prejudice, i.e. Kölsch, Bayerisch, Hessisch. Clear distinctions are constantly made, again without prejudice, between American and British English because the Germans get major exposure to both and often need to sort things out. It ain't easy! :evilgrin:
