saddam was a secular leader, he has no friends among the various religious hysterics who are already blowing the country to hell and gone

i don't think he'll be missed, he wasn't well liked, he was widely regarded as a nasty piece of work, and probably the sooner he's gone the sooner he'll be forgot

i'm only sorry he didn't decide to tell all he knows about rumsfeld et al. before croaking, as someone says downthread, the bfee will be glad to see a material witness to their crimes gone
