Media consolidation and particularly Clear Channel as radio gatekeeper of what gets air play and what doesn't is one of the most disturbing consequences of deregulation, imo. Have you ever seen that movie from the '70's, FM? It's from the days when FM radio was truly an alternative to corporate radio. Watching it now is to see a plot that is quaintly naive at best, and high camp at worst. We were so innocent in the '70's!
