8. Call It A Temporary Lull...
Tomorrow we get a "first encounter" story from a former page, there's still Jeff Trendahl to hear from, various staffers and congressmen to be outted and more circular firing squads by the Repugnicans.

The deal is that this North Korean story is a 24 one in the U.S. media...if that long...especially when it is up against a sex story. In '98, the Pope visted Cuba in a milestone visit...but all the American reporters hopped the first plane back to the U.S. when the Starr report was released. Sex sells.

Also, there's little to show here. CNN ran out of material on this story within 20 minutes...showing old archived FILM of a Korean reactor and repeating the same stuff over and over. They still can't even verify there was a detonation. Somehow I have this vision of a bunch of small arguing Korean dudes with lab coats on and a big missile the the word "very loud bang" coming out of the top of it...Tex Avery would be proud.
