Rasmussen Poll: Bush approval rating SINKING FAST

39% approval, 58% disapproval. This is the first time since mid-August, after the failed terror hijackings over London and Ned Lamont's primary victory over Joseph Lieberman that his approval has dipped below 40% on Rasmussen's charts.

Rasmussen is clearly one of the most Bush-tilted approval measuring polls in the country, if not the most. Back in February Rasmussen claimed Bush had a 47% approval rating. Their meter has him on a downward trend, and this seems to correlate with the falling numbers for the GOP. The GOP "boost" following Sept 11 is officially OVER.

The senate is looking better for Dems, the Congressional Generic Ballot numbers are looking better, with even Fox News giving Dems an 11 point lead among likely voters.

Bush's approval is falling. Expect it to be worse for the Reps by November, especially now that they're one less safe seat.
