49. Strange days indeed.
But you know, it always seems to be the case that those who preach hardest against something turn out to be the worst perpetrators. It's been seen quite a lot with homophobics who get caught in bathroom stalls on their knees and sanctimonious congressmen found having affairs with anything that moves slower than they do.

The biggest problem I have with this whole mess is just that. This guy used fear and intimidation to make us all afraid that our children were going to be molested the moment they turned on the computer or took a walk through the park while all the time he was the one preying on them. The greatest danger to freedom is fear and he was a major purveyor of it. The kids he talked dirty to will probably get over any direct damage he's done to them, but the rest of us and our children will always feel the pang of fear that he callously installed in our collective psyche.
