There's various approaches here. You can do the Al Franken approach and not have callers on your show - you have lots of pre-invited guests. That way you don't have to cope up with wingnuts calling. You can do it the Mike Malloy way, he doesn't even allow them to finish their sentence and he drops the call. Or you can do it the way Thom Hartmann and Randi Rhodes deal with it... and let them steam off their points and rebut each and every one of them. I even think Jerry Springer does that but he's more mild mannered than Randi (Thom's more mild mannered at least in the way he comes across to me).

Or you do it the Rush Limbaugh way and you screen your calls heavily. Very heavily. I guess you have to have a secret RNC Party ID Card # to give before you get on that show.
