I have 12 small pins in my ankle from an old surgery and depending on how sensitive the machine is, that can set it off. When it did set it off, I explained to the guy about the pins, showed him the scar, and invited him to wand the ankle. He had no interest in that. Called over a female tsa person and watched while she "examined" my bra - plain view of everybody. Your tax dollars at work.
