10. That's the appalling tragedy, bro.
The last and remaining measure of whatever 'good' could come from the nearly 59,000 dead ... your and my brothers in arms ... is that we might learn, never again, to waste the lives of our young men and women in a fruitless and misguided attempt to shore up international corporate entitlements - the privatized colonialism that merely transfers global oppression and exploitation from stateist monarchies to unelected, uncrowned, unresponsive, and unbounded privateers.

That last and remaining measure of good is now dead and buried, along with the sons and daughters of our parents' generation - the brothers and sisters of our generation.

Too soon, the fewer than one million of us who've survived that war will join our dead brothers and sisters ... and what will remain?

Our nation has not learned. Our nation is in the hands of those who care not at all for the 59,000 who died because of their sins, and the sins of their fathers from whom plunder has been inherited. They will, I'm sure, go forth and sin even more ... and more will die for their sins. For that is their perverted interpretation of a 2,000-year-old lesson: that they are enriched when the life's blood of others fertilizes the soil upon which they tread.
