7. A good example of this is laws protecting us against Mad Cow disease...

In both Europe and in Japan, there are laws now in effect that not only protect against feeding of recycled cattle in their own feed, but also prevents recycled cattle from being fed to poultry, pork or other farm animals, and also not having those animals being fed back to cows.

In both the U.S. and Canada, despite activists in both Canada and in the U.S. trying to work to do this as well, we have our industry shutting down efforts to also include a ban on feeding other recycled animal parts to cattle and vice versa, even if we have a ban on the more obvious offending practice of feeding recycled cattle back to cattle.

Why is this important? Because poultry and pigs, though they don't get infected like cattle do with mad cow, have been shown to be carriers of this disease, and this is just one more example of where corporate profits are going to kill off America.

Other examples of Corporate America's will destroying the health of Americans and other people?

- using HFCS instead of regular sugar cane or sugar beet sugar, which is likely why we have an epidemic of diabetes in young people now.
- depleted uranium in our weaponry, which is likely a cause of Gulf War syndrome and higher rates of cancer that persist wherever we've had conflicts since using them (Bosnia, Somalia, Iraq, Afghanistan, etc.). We now also still have problems in southeast asia from the effects of dioxin remnants of our usage of Agent Orange.
- the Bhopal disaster in India.
- the higher price of pharmaceutical drugs here in America vs. other countries because of the fascist elements of the Medicare bill regarding restrictions on the ability of the government to negotiate decent bulk purchase prices of drugs.
- the MTBE additive in our gasoline here in California, which WAS the brainchild of the oil industry, NOT those truly wanting to put in place standards protecting our environment as it was being sold as. It was nothing more than a way to get the California state government to subsidize their revamping of their oil refineries, and subsequently justify and increase of prices of gasoline at the pump to "accomodate" this supposedly helpful additive to the environment, which in actuality is found to hurt it.

Heck corporations are writing many of our bills like the medicare bill, etc. through our congress critters, and these congress critters get rewarded with jobs when the leave government too, in addition to the corporate contributions they receive while in office for their campaigns.

Welcome to the world of Corporatist Fascist Feudalism!
