Do you REALLY think Oprah's channel is going to drive XM subscriptions away?

You made the comment that it was Waaayyyyyyyyyy too much money for 1/2 hour and it was obvious you DIDN'T KNOW anything about it and know LITTLE of Oprah's 'pull' in the biz. BTW: She'll be on Larry King this week talking about the channel.. and expect her to give away HUNDREDS of radios to her viewers of the show (and the folks in studio also).

How is it that Sirius IS NOW LOSING SUBSCRIPIONS (the Howard bounce is way over, so much that Howard is considering returning to TERRESTRIAL RADIO)?

Do you work for Sirius? (You seem more than eager to defend them and at the same time trash XM.)

(note: I don't work for XM, own no stock and have both XM and Sirius receviers. I spent 20 years in the broadcast biz before retiring and have some ears that pass me the news, not my fault that Sirius screwes up more than XM.) Pointed out many times and it's always forgotten)

How do you explain the dozens of people I know who have XM ONLY for Nascar and are switching to Sirius at the end of the year? (One would figure there's a LOT more than just them!)

well, I know many folks that are going to PICK UP a Sirius receiver for the races, and are KEEPING XM for the better sound quality and the other features they don't have on Sirius (like AAR, the NASCAR shows, the Hockey coverage, the College games, etc...) Doing a complete switchout for 3-5 hours a week is just plain stupid, pig-headed and shows a lack of common sense IMNSHO...
