but eviscerating people you disagree with, instead of speaking to the issue itself, isn't a particularly helpful style of debate, IMHO. There's a reason why argumentum ad hominem is classified as a logical fallacy. But still, I was quite surprised when he was finally tombstoned, but I hear that some of the Lieberman threads got a little thermonuclear, and I guess that was what finally did him in.

I wonder how much of his online persona was just a put-on, though. I'm sure he is a lot nicer in person.
