So how the hell did WE end up being the bad guys?

Five years ago, after 9/11, the world was with the United States like never before. I remember Bush had universal support from everybody. Sure, I never liked the guy as a president or anything, never had much confidence in him, however as the person in the White House at the time you better believe I supported him going out and doing a good job leading our country after a tragedy like that. I hoped for him to do a good job. I PRAYED for him even.

Well, that didn't happen.

So now, 5 years later, our standing in the world has never been lower, our enemies have been emboldened like never before. Hatred against our country is at an all-time high. No doubt that a president with any leadership skills and intellectual capacity whatsoever would have rode that wave of sympathy and unity to greatness. Not Bush. And, that is an ineffable tragedy.

I will be so glad when this nightmare administration ends. Then maybe we can heal ourselves and be the good guys again.
