35. A very obscure, out-of-print book examines that tie closely.
It's called "A Texan Looks at Lyndon: A Study in Illegitimate Power," by J. Evetts Haley. LBJ's ties to Brown & Root go back WAY before the assassination, and there's some evidence that other criminal acts (up to and including murder) happened over the years. LBJ wasn't alone; Ralph Yarborough was part of that gang, too.

They were one dirty, evil bunch of politicians, and I'm ashamed they ever called themselves democrats.
