4. The debate
One thing that was particularly power is sort of what John Kerry was accused of doing. Sometimes Kerry seemed to ramble on a point and beat it into the ground losing its appeal while the Shrub would make a quick one-liner. People tend to remember the one-liners.

Santorum was rambling with anger many times today trying to steam-roll Casey and sucking up all the airtime. However, a number of times Casey got the final punch right before a commercial or before the next question.

One that stuck out was about the budget. After Casey answered questions about the budget Santorum went on some rampage about some local PA. issues that Casey was involved in regarding a legal case and raising wages. It really had nothing to do with the question about federal budgets. When pRick Santorum was done with his rant Casey basically said "Well you have a lot of explaining regarding why you voted for record deficits and debt." Then they went right to a commercial.

In advertising the most powerful message is quick and usually what is remembered is the last thing said. casey dominated that front today.
