32. From what I understand of
this docudrama, the set-up is hilariously bad. Bush at an anti-war rally? Or that an anti-war rally would be permitted to take place within, say, five miles of him? I'm sure there are any number of realistic scenarios which could result in the assassination of an American President. This just isn't one of them.

It actually says a lot for this country that there are very few actual attempts. And even fewer successes. I think that shows that in the end, people here understand that assassination won't really work to accomplish their ends. Other than the resulting death of the intended target.

Does anyone know if this docudrama ends up with the actual assassin being caught, or is the "focus on a Syrian-born man in the search for the culprit" the government's knee-jerk reaction and assumption of who must be to blame? In other words were George W. Bush, God forbid, be assassinated, I can imagine any number of potential assassins -- not as specific persons but as coming from a broad range of groups, both political and ethnic.
