Regarding the film D.O.A.P (DEATH OF A PRESIDENT) by UK filmmaker Gabriel Range:

D.O.A.P was chosen to screen as a world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in the Festival's Visions programme. Visions spotlights films which challenge our notions of mainstream cinema and explore new cinematic territory. D.O.A.P by Gabriel Range is fictional drama told in the style of a documentary. Range, in concert with some of the finest special effects professionals, mixes archival footage with narrative elements to construct a highly original film; a falsified history on what would be a tragic event. D.O.A.P addresses a wide array of contemporary issues including the loss of civil liberties, the ramifications of war, and ultimately critiques the overwhelming influence and manipulation of mass media.
