Gay Talese

In "A Writer's Life" Gay Talese recounts his over 50-year career as a journalist and non-fiction author. At the Strand Book Store, Mr. Talese recounts his years as a copy boy and how he began reporting for The New York Times.

Gay Talese reported for The New York Times from 1956 to 1965. He is the author of "Thy Neighbor's Wife," "Honor Thy Father," "The Gay Talese Reader" and "Unto the Sons." Mr. Talese has written for Esquire, The New Yorker, Harper’s Magazine, and other national publications. He is the husband of publisher Nan A. Talese.
