Working for Jimmy Carter, we also handed out material for Flaherty, Foglietta, and I don't know who all else. Sadly, the Foglietta race is still the only successful one I've ever been associated with, and since he was running as a (wink, wink) Independent (Thank you Ozzie Myers), in the strictest sense I've never worked on a winning Democratic campaign. Philly Democrats (the rank and file, not the party per se) wouldn't get behind Flaherty against Philly boy Arlen Spector and we're still reaping the whirlwind for that little mistake.
