20. Remarkable for two reasons
It is remarkable that someone on TV told the truth about Iraq without equivocation and in plain language. Great job Paul!

Also: It is remarkable that it is remarkable. For more than three years, circumstances have demanded this kind of response and passion from our representatives and from journalists. This is about war, death, power, pain, squandering resources, mortgaging the future. Everyone with a microphone should have been saying this stuff for years now. It would have been a sign of healthy democracy and honest public discourse. A precious few have done it. That we are grateful and awed that someone stands up and explains this mess well in prime time is evidence of how low our dysfunctional society has fallen. Almost all of our representatives and journalists are smart enough and articulate enough to say the exact same thing. And we know they can see it, same as us. Why they haven't stepped forward is a mystery to me.
