37. Patience Is Often Rewarded
This is another small sign of hope for those who are
trying to participate in a world of benevolence and goodwill.
I know the difficulties that others have experienced in
life, and I can say truthfully that I have many difficulties
myself. The point is that if you believe in a world that is
hopeful and happy for as many people as possible, then you
have to realize the effort and struggle that goes into
creating such a world.
I and many others would like things to go well for as
much of life as possible. But working for that goal requires
understanding of the forces in life that exist. There is no
simple or easy solution to the problems we face, other than to
do our best, and hope for the best.
I'm not advocating that people should try to suffer and
always sacrifice, but that many people who are hoping and
striving for a good and benevolent world now and in the future
depend on those who are willing to do their part, even if it
is hard sometimes.
Ultimately, we seek a win-win situation where the best
for everything is promoted. There just are no guarantees for
anyone given the level of understanding that exists.
If you struggle for a better world, people will greatly
appreciate your efforts, even if you don't know them in
person. I have many difficulties, and I still believe in
those who may benefit and pass on those benefits of what I do
to make things better. The hard part is maintaining your
steadfastness when things are difficult.
I'm advocating learning over trivia because many examples
exist of people who gave their lives for others and the
future. So it's fine to hope that things work out in the
short term, but dedication to doing good brings fulfillment
only from the appreciation of universal benevolence. In this
idea there is unfortunately, no perfect or guaranteed
solution. Some of us have it worse than others, and even
though we should not seek difficulty, it can often accompany
the right course of action. I hope you will commit yourself
to working for the greater good of life, and hopefully your
life will go well too.
The struggle to make things better is one of the head as
much as it is of the heart. There is much to learn and
consider as you make your way in life. The news we are seeing
is hopeful, but there is many problems to overcome and work to
do. We ask that people join the side of hope and progress,
even if you don't completely understand everything or know
people that you are certain are allies.
