It would be great if he went now. Unfortunately the neo-liberal Blairite wing of the Parliamentary party is more in number than the social democratic wing.

A vote of no confidence is also unlikely to happen in Parliament. The Conservatives don't want to bring the government down because they have no policies of their own, and they know that the longer Blair stays the more damage he does to the Labour Party. If left-wing Labour MPs combined with Lib Dems and nationalists, they'd still be heavily outnumbered by the Blair-Cameron neo-liberal consensus.
