9. A true journalist is not an advocate
His role is to gain insight for his audience. He knew he wasn't going to get answers to some questions, therefore his role is to probe for deeper understanding of the issues. We are simply used to a lack of quality journalism in the corporate media, thus my assertion that there are many more journalists out of the mainstream who would have done a decent job with this opportunity.
