11. the point that resonates

most with me is the concept that the war/struggle in which humanity is engaged is not East/West, North/South, or Muslim/Christian. Rather, its about Fundamentalism and Secularism. I often say that that which helps Bush also helps Bin Laden, and that which disempowers one disempowers the other. Their fortunes are tied. It is because their interests are perfectly aligned. The tragedy we are enduring right now is a failure to recognize the true dichotomy. The charade many people have been sold makes very fuzzy the true demarkation line, thereby causing the emotions and efforts of those people to be misdirected.

Plus the author is hot!:)
