I totally disagree with you about the initial suggestions. Most people don't fly to the UK anyway, and this is a global travel issue now...if I want to fly from Seattle to St. Louis this insanity affects me too and the UK won't miss any of the dollars I wasn't going to spend there anyway.

On the other hand my OWN government and airlines and businesses right here in the states need to understand that these idiotic paranoid measures aren't acceptable REGARDLESS.

And that's where activisim comes into it. Perhaps you don't think that activism in general has much value...if so then we disagree. I think if people don't speak in MANY ways they are unlikely to be heard.

Boycotting is one method...an often good method...but it is far from the only good method of protest and speaking to power.
