2. And their opinion
counts for what? Not a speck more than any other opinion (including mine). They have to fill air time with something, so this is today's version of doing so. The voters decided the issue yesterday and will again in November, not the pundits. Lieberman has ever right to run as an independent if he can do so, just as Lamont had every right to challenge him in the primary. It is how the system is supposed to work as I understand it.
