8. I learned some things from hearing Peter Galbraith on public radio
It's not the whole solution--but some interesting facts:

Churchill was responsible for combining the three Iraqi groups into one country--and considered it later to be one of his biggest mistakes. They did it to save time and money--to put them all together in one country.

Galbraith (son of John Galbraith) also said that our troops are doing not one bit of good in Iraq and should get out immediately (if not sooner!). Any Iraqi group that aligns itself with the Americans looses credibility--so our presence there is a negative.
