Of course, the ASA at Long Vei Special Forces Camp (about four miles west of Khe Sanh on QL-9) had to fight through the night on 2/7/1968. Those ASAers got their war stories the old fashioned way .. they earned 'em. Otherwise, no truer song were ever sung than the "Ballad of the ASA."
