Italian expats get Impeach Bush signs on NBC Today Show

It wasn't easy, but during the NBC Today Show shot live in Rome today, we managed to get one of our Impeach Bush signs on the air. Watch the video (after the advert), sign shows in background right after the map of Italy: http://tinyurl.com/bmdn2 There were about 10 of us there, all with Impeach Bush signs (camouflaged initially as Hi Mom signs). We were swarmed by tourists who took our photos, asked to have their photos taken with us and cheered and clapped. We tried chanting Stop the War during one of the segments (while Katie was sampling ice cream at an outdoor cafe) and were shoved away by their "crowd control" people.

One of our more patient members actually sat through all the videos of the Today show and found one of us chanting Stop Stop Stop the War. Katie was even forced to acknowledge us with a remark about freedom of speech :) http://tinyurl.com/ayu8m (again after the advert)

Afterwards, one of the producers told us "this isn't the right venue for your message." An Italian man said, "No, this is the right place. You guys did the right thing." Then she said "you can't get your message across by shouting (referring to our chanting). You've got to communicate calmly." I walked over and said, "Give me a mic and I'll explain our position calmly." They declined.
