I am not fond of Mr. Bush, and I certainly think these things needed to be said. However, a funeral service was not the proper place to say them. I don't care if it's the devil himself standing in the church, there's no need to throw verbal (or political) darts on such an occassion, in such a place. The fact that Bush showed up at all I think shows some courage, he knew he wouldn't be well liked there. It just doesn't show much class, at all. The focus was, and should have on Coretta King, on her life and what she contributed to the world at large. Instead, all of this will be dwarfed by the story of how Bush "got slapped down".

He'll get what's coming to him, but this is just classless, period. You do know the fundies are paying close attention? They'll get more pleasure from this than any democrat, because they can use it to claim "Democrats have no class" at a time when we most certainly need to prove otherwise.
