We are in a new era, where we don't smear another American's patriotism just because they dissent or disagree- even the President agrees with this position. Smearing someone you disagree with is one of the reasons the Republicans lost last week, and I suspect, one of the reasons CNN is losing stature in the world of TV journalism, for it's willingness to give airtime to surrogate Republican smear artists such as yourself."

"Now as to your question: are you accusing me of giving aid and comfort to Al-Qaeda, our enemy? Are you accusing me of being what the Military Commissions Act defines as an Unlawful Enemy Combatant? Because if you are, I'm going to have to kick your ass right here on live TV".

That's what he should have said.
