9. The women on both sides of my family tended to marry late
as a way to reduce the possibility of having a baby every year for 15 years and being worn out in their 20s.

It is utterly unnecessary to do that now since there are several methods of birth control available. There is no reason in the world for women to deny their sexuality to adhere to some patriarch's dead letter literalism concerning a book that was written by a bunch of ancient nomads slowly moving toward civilization.

We have to remind these sanctimonious bullies that the rest of us live here, too, and that it's high time for them to learn some manners.
