I think Irwin did a great deal for conservation and for animals. I believe he DID push the envelope, especially in the stunt he pulled with his son and the croc. However there isn't a single piece of evidence that he "manhandled" the ray that took his life. People swim with rays all the time. This was just a freak accident, period.
